If you want to add an image(say a structure) to the spectrum you may do so by following the protocol described below.
Open the PS file, Select All, Image>rotate canvas>90°cw
In the application in which you have created the structure: open, select and copy, placing the structure onto the clipboard.
Go back to Photoshop and define a region on the spectrum which will contain the structure. Use the box tool.
Paste the contents of the clipboard into the box region.
Use the Save As under the File menu to export the image as EPS, or other format as available. EPS works well inside of Word.
If you want to bring this EPS file into word you may run Word.
Then after creating a New Doc, use Page Setup to switch to landscape. Create a text box, large enough to display the EPS graphic clearly. Insert> a Picture> From File. The text box is optional but does allow you to move the graphic about the page, if space permits.
You may create a PDF file by changing the Print Destination to File if you have Adobe acrobat installed. You will see a PDF printer which you should select.
See FTP if you need assistance in transfering the PS file to your local PC or Mac.
